MKM and AML decide to enter into a long-term partnership

Hettstedt, October 05, 2016. The Mansfelder Kupfer und Messing GmbH (MKM), Hettstedt, has concluded a long-term co-operation with Azienda Metalli Laminati S.p.A (AML), Quargnento. The North Italian company is a specialist for micro strips for the cable industry, for heat exchangers and for capacitors. With the partnership, MKM extends its product portfolio for its customers, expands its distribution channels and guarantees a consistently high quality on the basis of the copper pre-strips from MKM.
Because of this partnership, MKM will complement its product range by the dimension range of 0.025 to 0.10 mm with a width of 3 to 500 mm. MKM is already market leader for cable wrapping tapes with thicknesses from 0.10 mm. “We have already worked closely together with MKM since 2005 and we are pleased, that we can extend the business volume because of our strategic partnership. As an important first step, we have already invested in new cutting capacities”, thus Jacopo Colonna, CEO from AML. “Through our partnership, we will not only extend the range for our customers in Europe, but we also expect growth impulses from other target markets such as India, the USA and the Middle East”, stresses Roland Harings, CEO from MKM. Max Brandt, managing director distribution, marketing and R&D, emphasises: “The partnership with AML is another step with which we will extend our product portfolio as well as our distribution channels. With this, we fulfil the wish of numerous customers to further expand our already today unique product diversity with MKM quality.”
